Of Marriage
To a wonderful life and adventure partner who  helps remind me of what matters most.

I am a certified Presence-Based® Coach, ICF-Associate Certified Coach and Registered ICF Mentor Coach based in Spokane, Washington. I help motivated and curious individuals explore their potential and reach their goals.

Whether it’s navigating life transitions or complexity, building habits that support you, or creating better work-life integration, my clients are able to clarify what's most important to them, understand their strengths, gain new perspectives, and apply their learning in ways that can transform their lives.

I bring coaching, mindfulness, and Yoga training combined with with experience facilitating learning that focuses on the body as an key component of personal and leadership development. My background allows me unique opportunities to:
  • integrate my interests and studies in how humans grow, develop, and function (motor development, human physiology, and kinesiology);
  • my teaching-learning experiences in higher education and enjoyment of mentoring others
  • deepen my understanding of personal development and leadership, and
  • serve others in ways that support their growth and development in a more impactful way

My mission is to share my commitment to ongoing learning and development, to help others explore their edges, and develop greater self-awareness and skillfulness as they navigate the territory of their lives.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
Through the unknown, remembered gate
When the last of earth left to discover
Is that which was the beginning;
At the source of the longest river
The voice of the hidden waterfall
And the children in the apple-tree
Not known, because not looked for
But heard, half-heard, in the stillness
Between two waves of the sea.”

― T.S. Eliot, Four Quartets

My Philosophy

The most precious gifts we are given are life and the possibility of being fully present in and with it, and in our connections and relationships to ourselves and each other. Curiosity and playfulness are critical qualities that help us be in the moment without judgment and with compassion. They allow us and others to show up differently, in a new relationship to what is occurring and to each other, rather than reacting in habitual and conditioned ways. The ways in which we show up and engage in life are largely a reflection of our interpretations and perspectives. When we change these, we can transform ourselves and change what we do so that are living in connection and alignment with the values we hold dear.

Life and how it unfolds are unpredictable…we can count on a change to occur, some of which we have little or no control over, and often when we least expect it. The waves won’t stop coming… We can not only learn to calm our inner sea, but we can learn how to surf.

Through coaching and practice, we can learn to do both.
I am committed to being fully present – with other human beings and with what is.
I provide a spacious and playful presence that invites curiosity, connection, compassion, and clarity.

Coaching has brought me full circle in a way – not yet at the end of my exploring, but more connected to and grateful for the journey I’ve traveled and how to be more aware along the path. It has allowed me to integrate my life’s experiences, my academic and experiential education, love of learning and to share those with others. Our work together will help you:

  • become more aware
  • develop more of the qualities and skills that are important to you
  • access the wisdom of your body more readily
  • increase your ability to take more effective and appropriate action in the moment
  • move towards your desired outcomes or goals
  • experience more wonder and joy along the way
